Well let's see. John McCain cannot express himself in a manner which makes him come across as an intelligent human being. Barack Obama is unaware of the fact that the timer does in fact apply to him as well. They both make Sarah Palin look dumber than I already think she is. Let's be honest here we all know why Palin was selected, it's publicity stunt and when Obama didn't choose Clinton he pulled a rug out from underneath himself. He's working to put it back underneath himself as McCain is running around desperately trying to shut Palin up. I do lean to the left but I'm not a democrat and if a republican were running that I felt was a good candidate I'd vote for them. It's a matter of weighing the candidates to see which one best suits my values, it's not about their party lines. We'd probably be in a much better country if people researched before they voted and in some cases even bothered to vote. Last campaign Paris Hilton wore a shirt that said "vote or die" and she forgot to vote. Excuse me but where is the executioner?
I miss my best friend. See this is the problem with your best friends becoming military men. They all run off and leave you behind. On the upside you can use this advantage to get goodies from around the world without having to leave your house. All you have to do is be a good friend and be nice. It works for both parties and you both end up happy.
Work is slow and tedious and I find that lately I just look at the massive piles on my desk and wonder where my times goes each day and exactly what it is I'm supposed to be doing here anyway.
Class is also boring and tedious and repetitive and the instructor makes me want to fall asleep. The lessons are easy enough and it's all about memory anyway. Practical application is something I have a fair grasp on now.
Back to politics. If you're proven wrong the polite thing to do is to apologize, not to search for alternative attack methods. The in laws had a tissy this weekend because I "insisted on insulting" their candidate. Aside from the lack of fact there, when in law was provided with a video showing where her VP pick actually did say something moronic and then was copied word for word by SNL her response was to say, "well she still attacked McCain". You see a few weeks ago I mentioned that in an interview McCain was asked if he would meet with the president of Spain, (yes I know that Spain is a constitutional monarchy and there isn't really a president of Spain but there is a Prime Minister which holds a title of President of the Government.) McCain replied that yes he would meet with the Mexican president. Obviously that makes me left wing liberal biased hippy. Anyway when presented with the evidence that yes McCain actually said that again the in law response was to say not nice things about me and my biased liberal ways. Sigh. Oh well. All's well that ends well. I guess we just forgot about the mocking of Obama. You know where I said he made a bad VP pick in terms of popularity and when that scandal with his religious leader came up. That doesn't count though I guess. You can sling mud at these men all day long but the fact of the matter is that some men have more material to throw than others. I'm going to the least muddy plot to set up my camp.
