Hello.

Not much to report now. I finished the first sock of my orange monkeys. I changed the sock just a bit to make it feel better for me. I made the leg longer and I shortened the toe. I am more comfortable with the short boxy toe. My foot doesn't conform well to the pattern's called for pointier toe.

I'm putting it to the side so I can focus on a pair of gray socks for a friend who's headed out for a particularly cold military expedition. This is my fourth pair of socks and I have to say I'm in a slump. I just don't enjoy it. I'm going to finish this pair quickly and then go ahead and work on something else. Maybe my wrap that's been put aside or maybe my hat. I'm so tired. Things are just so hectic.

My car is in the shop which has left me with a rental which has a gas tank with twice the capacity and half the fuel economy. It's incredibly frustrating. However I did find the nicest pair of riding boots today and passed up on them but now that I'm home I'm thinking of going back and getting them. They're really beautiful and I am sure they'll come in handy this winter. Old Navy was having a sale and I got a lot for just a little. I got a bright new bowl, lots of great coffee and tea, and some other cutesy utensils. We watched parts of several football games with the inlaws this weekend and got into an unfortunate argument about politics. It's funny how some people can make pot shots at the candidate they don't like and make racist comments and think it's perfectly acceptable but if you point out that their candidate sounds like a moron they get in an extreme huff. I don't like any of them through and through but if I did I'd certainly have enough maturity not to get in a fit about it if someone insulted the candidate I supported. Really it's completely absurd to take a comment out of context and use it as an excuse to insult and offend everyone in your present company. The boyfriend and I have decided to look into a business. I miss my bestie.
